Our Airo Devices and the IP67 Rating
As you consider purchasing a rugged handset, we would like to provide you with some
facts about the IP rating. All Airo handsets are tested and proven to exceed the
IP67 rating. A mobile device's IP rating classifies the level of protection provided
by the device against the intrusion of solid objects like dirt, sand, dust and
liquids like water. It consists of the letters IP (for International Protection
rating) followed by two digits for the device's rating. This international standard
aims to provide users with more detailed and factual information rather than being
influenced by vague marketing terms such as "waterproof" or "water resistant".
So, when purchasing your ruggedized handset, make sure that you are purchasing
the highest rated handset based on real standards.
Every Airo device has been tested and conforms to International Electrotechnical
Commission IP67 rating, their HIGHEST level of protection.
