The highly anticipated Airo Wireless A30, the newest in the Airo suite of devices,
incorporates enhanced features on a new model, while still maintaining the
super-ruggedness that Airo devices are known for.
The Airo A30 is expected to operate on an Android platform and features dual cameras,
Wi-Fi access, 3G phone services, and other features essential for business function
in rugged environments. Airo plans to release the A30 to market in Q4, 2010.
Housing
The A30 housing is comprised of Lexan. One of the most distinctive attributes of Lexan
is its high impact strength. Few other engineering plastics can match its ability to
stand up to hard knocks in very cold or very hot temperatures. The Airo Lexan housing
is shatter-resistant and virtually unbreakable. With the increased strength
of Lexan resin, Airo Wireless is also able to offer a lighter phone while maintaining
the necessary safety and security standards our customers need in a device.
The physical advantages of Lexan resin begin with its strength and extend to its
resistance to the elements of heat and cold, water, and weather, confirming the
A30 IP68 and MIL-STD 810G ratings.
