Troops in the field are faced with carrying multiple pieces of
technology equipment to function effectively and safely. Access to data
for education, tactical operations network access, collaboration and
administrative needs require use of GPS, two-way radios, laptop computers,
and cell phones. The cost for these items individually is staggering.
Unlike typical smartphones, Airo devices are COTS-based smartphones
designed for warfighting environments, also integrating live brigade-level

Airo Wireless handsets are specifically designed for use in the field.
They have been independently tested and conform to Military Standard
810-F/G and carry an IP67 rating. The dedicated emergency button provides
instant information about the location (within 5 meters) of the user. The
verticality, or man-down, sensor, allows the call center to identify
if the user is down. The A25 combines all technology necessary in the
field into one handset equipped with super-accurate GPS, Windows Mobile
functionality, rugged housing, and other features imperative for troops
in the field.
